Job Summary
Welcome patients, assist with check-in, and record medical history, medications, and visit purpose. Perform preliminary testing including visual acuity, pupil assessment, refraction, dilation, intraocular pressure, and extraocular movement testing. Conduct diagnostic procedures such as OCT, visual fields, GDX, IOL Master, auto-refractor, and corneal topography. Demonstrate knowledge of ocular anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and medications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring exam rooms and equipment are patient-ready. Support the clinical team with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong computer and data entry skills
Desired Qualifications
- One year of medical or ophthalmic office experience
- COA or COT certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient-first mindset
