Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician supports an Ophthalmologist by performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams, including dilation, refraction, and a range of diagnostic tests (visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL Master, auto refractor, topography). Responsible for patient data entry in EMR, maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms, and assisting with patient flow while adhering to HIPAA. Customer-service oriented, with a professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic; requires high school diploma/GED and at least one year of related experience or training. Ability to work over 40 hours and weekends as needed; located in Gilbert, AZ. EyeCare Partners affiliation noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current COA or COT certification is preferred, but not required
