Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician responsible for collecting and recording ocular and systemic histories, performing visual acuity testing, refractions, tonometry, pupil and muscle evaluations, visual fields, pachymetry, dry-eye testing, and advanced imaging (corneal topography, retinal imaging, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasonography); provide post-operative care guidance, assist with contact lens fittings and in-office procedures, maintain clinic cleanliness, and deliver clinical support under physician supervision. Required Qualifications
- Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology
- Certification preferred but not required
- Ability to perform manifest refraction is required
- Ability to perform Goldmann tonometry is required
- Superior interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to effectively multitask
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
