Job Summary
Obtain patient medical history and chief complaints, then maintain records via electronic medical record. Perform technical procedures including autorefraction, refraction, Humphrey visual field, OCT, IOL master, pachymeter, tonometry, and vision testing. Assist physicians by scribing, scheduling surgeries and follow-up appointments, obtaining pre-certifications, and processing prescriptions. Screen incoming calls, monitor supply stock, and provide education to patients and families. Requires Ophthalmology Certification Program or three years of experience; full-time day shift in Richland.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
- Completion of Ophthalmology Certification Program
- CERT OPHTHALMOLOGY ASSISTANT - C073
- Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
- Data entry skills
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) years of Ophthalmology experience
