Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician role supporting ophthalmology physicians; performs diagnostic testing (refractions, tonometry, A-Scans/IOL Master/Immersions), measures patient vision, and assists during eye surgery. Responsibilities include preparing the surgical room and equipment, explaining procedures and diagnoses to patients, maintaining sensitive ophthalmic equipment, and keeping exam rooms clean. Requires strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, empathy for patients, attention to detail, and computer literacy; performs comprehensive workups at a rate of ~3.5 patients per hour.
