Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician at Eye Consultants of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities include collecting patient information and medical histories, performing eye measurements and diagnostic tests (refractions, tonometry, A-Scans/IOL Master/immersions), testing pupil reactions and color vision, explaining procedures and diagnoses to patients, assisting during eye surgery by preparing the surgical room and equipment, maintaining ophthalmic equipment, and keeping exam rooms clean. Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, teamwork, and computer literacy are required; background checks and drug testing may be conducted as part of the hiring process. Non-exempt, clinical role in ophthalmology; emphasis on patient care and eye-health procedures.
