Job Summary
Conduct preliminary patient work-ups, assist physicians during examinations, and document encounters in electronic medical records. Efficiently interview patients, document histories, and communicate regarding follow-up care, surgeries, and scheduling. Perform specific tests including OCT, tonometry, visual acuity, and visual field exams while maintaining and cleaning equipment. Clean and stock exam rooms, check medication expiration dates, and ensure reliable attendance and punctuality. Travel to other ARC locations as required, with shifts ranging from 8-14 hours including mandatory Saturday hours for the Phoenix office.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Ophthalmic Scribe Certification
- Willingness to obtain OSC within 30 days of hire if not certified
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English

Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual
- Six (6) months of progressively responsible outpatient or medical office experience
- Understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in an outpatient or medical office setting
- Willingness to train
