Job Summary
Perform vision testing including distance/near acuity, peripheral vision, and depth/color perception. Apply anesthetic, dilating, and medicated drops while collecting and processing specimens. Triage urgent cases to maintain clinic flow, prepare rooms, and assist physicians during procedures. Perform basic equipment maintenance and adhere to infection-control and confidentiality standards. Requires 2+ years of refracting experience and ability to stand frequently while lifting up to 10 lbs. Required Qualifications
- fully trained Ophthalmic Technician 2
- 2+ years of refracting experience
- Ability to work across all specialties and perform all ancillary tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Patient-focused, outgoing, and service-oriented
- Calm, dependable problem-solver
- Positive attitude; strong team player
- Flexible and comfortable with change
- Ability to stand/walk frequently and lift up to 10 lbs
