Job Summary

Conduct thorough preliminary examinations including visual acuity and pupillary responses, and administer diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography. Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking while gathering comprehensive patient information to ensure accurate diagnoses. Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborate with clinical staff, and perform clinical and administrative tasks to streamline workflow. Administer eye drops and contribute to clinic efficiency through organized operations. Schedule includes Monday 7A to 10A, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:30A to 5P, with no Wednesdays. Up to 32 hours a week across Plymouth Meeting, Nazareth, and Sewell, NJ locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Monday 7A to 10A.
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30A to 5P.
  • No Wednesdays.
  • Up to 32 hours a week.
  • Locations are variable depending on OR time, includes Plymouth Meeting, Nazareth and Sewell, NJ locations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.
