Ophthalmic Tech

Conduct patient work-ups by obtaining medical and surgical histories, completing diagnostic testing, and performing auto refractions, topographical mapping, and visual acuity measurements. Assist surgeons in exam lanes and procedures by evaluating pupil responses, using slit lamps and applanation tonometers, and providing pre/post-operative care and instructions. Prepare laser rooms with supplies, stock medications, order medical supplies, and maintain equipment through regular and emergency maintenance. Call to request pre/post-ops for surgery patients and ensure all forms are complete with pertinent information recorded.
