Job Summary
Obtain and document patient history, perform vision testing, and administer eye drops during pre-exam procedures. Conduct routine ophthalmic testing, scribe provider findings and treatment plans, and triage urgent cases to maintain patient flow. Prepare exam rooms, assist physicians as needed, and perform basic equipment maintenance while adhering to infection control and confidentiality standards. This role supports physicians in diagnosing and treating eye conditions within a large multi-specialty network offering internal advancement opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
Desired Qualifications
- EMR experience preferred
- Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus
- Ophthalmology or medical office experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
