Job Summary
Ophthalmic Scribe responsible for accurate documentation and summarization of ocular examinations, maintaining patient flow, and communicating appointment status. Duties include charting examinations, documenting chief complaints, assessments, and treatment recommendations with justification; observing physician-patient interactions; assisting during exams; completing superbill or billing orders when directed; ensuring the scribe understands exact examination requirements. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a medical office
- Scribe certification (preferably certified ophthalmic assistant)
