Job Summary
Ophthalmic Scribe responsible for providing accurate documentation and summarization of the ocular examination and recommendations while maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status; duties include summarizing physician verbalizations, charting examinations, documenting changes to chief complaint, assisting during exams, ensuring patient instruction delivery, and, as directed by the physician, completing superbill or entering billing orders; role supports a team at Carolinas Centers for Sight with a focus on accurate clinical documentation and efficient patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a medical office, preferably an ophthalmology office.
- Scribe certification (preferably certified ophthalmic assistant).
