Ophthalmic Photographer

Job Summary

Conduct patient ophthalmic imaging including fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, OCT-A, and anterior segment procedures for clinical teaching and research. Operate and maintain complex photographic instruments while performing venipuncture during angiography and assisting faculty and residents with image collection. Teach residents and train staff on new imaging techniques, evaluate photography processes to ensure state-of-the-art care, and document procedures in EPIC and PACS. Travel to satellite clinics to perform imaging duties and maintain current knowledge of ophthalmic photography equipment and methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Five years' experience performing Ophthalmic Imaging
  • A Bachelor's degree in Photography/Ophthalmic Imaging or related health care field
  • 1-year experience
  • An Associate's degree in Photography/ Ophthalmic Imaging or related health care field
  • three years' experience
  • BLS from AHA
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • ability to work well independently, as well as in a team
  • ability to assume responsibility for specific phases of research projects
  • proven facilitation and teaching/training skills

  • Strong skills and background with clinic operations including scheduling systems, and inventory control
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop and related computer applications
