Job Summary
Ophthalmic Medical Assistant based in Hinsdale, IL, supporting patient flow through eye examinations, tests, and treatments. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, performing patient history workups and diagnostic testing, assisting in minor surgical procedures, providing patient education per doctors’ instructions, maintaining exam room and equipment supplies, handling pharmacy calls, returning patient calls, and collaborating with the ophthalmology team. Requires a High School Diploma or GED; ophthalmic technician training or on-the-job training preferred but training offered for the right candidate; strong communication, organizational, and math skills; EPIC EMR experience preferred. Works full-time with every-other Saturday schedule; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, holidays, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prefer ophthalmic technician training or on-the-job training but will train the right candidate
