Job Summary
Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician responsible for performing diagnostic tests including Topography, A-Scans, B-Scans, OCTs, I-Trace, Verion, Visual Field, and Slit Lamp Camera; educate patients about testing; operate Tonopen; calculate IOLs; prepare surgical charts for multiple surgeons; collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists; requires excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience performing concise diagnostic testing with ability to identify abnormalities including: Topography, A-Scans, B-Scans, OCTs (mac/optic nerve), I-Trace, Verion, Visual Field, Slit Lamp Camera
- Educate & efficiently communicate to patients regarding the testing being administered
- Ability to use a Tonopen
- Perform IOL Calculations
- Prepare Surgical Charts (for multiple surgeons)
- Works directly with Ophthalmologist & Optometrists
- Excellent communication skills
