Job Summary
Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician performing diagnostic testing on patients (fundus photography, OCTs, color vision testing, pachymetry, visual fields) and may assist ophthalmologists/optometrists with patient work ups and administering eye meds. Travel between clinic locations; responsible for opening/closing diagnostic area, maintaining equipment, transferring test results into EMR, updating patient records, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology
- Certification preferred
- Superior interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to perform manifest refraction is preferred
- Ability to effectively multitask
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
