Job Summary
The Ophthalmic Assistant is responsible for conducting measurements and tests to assist the Physician in diagnosis and treatment, managing patient flow, and maintaining office standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing patient charts, taking ocular histories and visual acuity measurements, performing various ophthalmic tests, acting as a scribe, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with practice procedures. This role requires effective communication skills, accuracy, adaptability, and teamwork, alongside 0-2 years of prior experience in a similar role.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of prior ophthalmic assistant experience
- Normal vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception)
- Normal range of hearing
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Proficient computer skills

- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred
