Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician at Mann Eye Institute performing comprehensive patient histories and a range of ophthalmic tests (visual acuity, Amsler, Stereo, Color Vision Testing, Auto Refraction, refractometry, tonometry, Fundus Photography) and procedures (lensometry, applanation tonometry, intermediate refractometry) with an emphasis on precise, repeatable diagnostic testing, patient education, and collaboration with physicians to identify abnormalities and discuss Lasik/Cataract procedures; role includes basic scribing and clear communication with patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Medical management computer software and Windows-based operating system knowledge
