Job Summary
Prepare patients for exams or treatments, take visual acuity, and perform basic screening tests. Administer necessary medications, order lab and x-ray procedures, and assist with minor and laser surgery setups. Take brief histories and other medical information as directed by the provider. Current Basic Life Support certification required; high school diploma or GED with accredited ophthalmic assistant program graduation preferred. One year of medical office experience desirable. Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Pre-employment drug screen and background checks required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
- Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
- Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks
- Monday - Friday

- Graduate from an accredited program for Ophthalmic Assistants
- Ophthalmic experience
- Excellent customer service skills
