Job Summary
Assist providers by preparing patients for examination and conducting work-ups based on clinical history and chief complaints. Perform ordered testing including AR, OCT, HVF, Corneal Topography, IOL Master, ECC, and tonometry, while conducting baseline refractions using a Phoropter or Marco. Effectively communicate with patients to record history of present illness and update medications, ensuring proper authorizations are in place for additional testing. Maintain efficient workflow by seeing 4-6 patients per hour, preparing exam rooms through proper sterilization, and anticipating provider needs through proper set-up. Review past records to confirm availability for provider review and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ Year as Ophthalmic Technician
- High School diploma, or equivalent
