Ophthalmic Assistant- Dr. Haney- Blakeney (47631)

Ophthalmic Assistant needed to support ophthalmology providers with patient intake, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures across CEENTA's Charlotte-area clinics. Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, documenting medical history and vitals in the EHR, performing comprehensive ophthalmic workups (visual acuity, pupil assessment, tonometry, keratometry, refraction, motility, OCT, visual fields, topography, biometry, Amsler, Schirmer), assisting with exams and procedures, acting as a scribe when needed, educating patients, scheduling visits and surgeries, maintaining supplies, and traveling between CEENTA locations as required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of ophthalmology/optometry experience, and optional ICA-accredited or IJCAHPO/AAO training; COA/COT certification and BLS are preferred. Shifts are Mon–Fri, 7:30a–5:00p with occasional rotation. Travel between Charlotte sites may be required. Ready to apply to join a leading eye care team in Charlotte.
