Job Summary
Greet patients, perform comprehensive ophthalmic workups including visual acuity, tonometry, and OCT, and assist providers with exams, treatments, and in-office procedures. Document medical history, vital signs, and findings in the EHR while serving as a scribe and managing work queues. Schedule appointments and surgeries, maintain clinic supply inventory, clean exam rooms, and sterilize equipment to meet OSHA standards. Provide patient education, respond to inquiries via phone or EHR, and support onboarding of new staff. Travel between CEENTA locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry
Desired Qualifications
- ICA-accredited training or IJCAHPO/AAO independent study program
- COA or COT certification
- BLS certification
- Dependable to travel between sites when needed
