Job Summary
Ophthalmic Assistant at Charlton Ophthalmology in Charlton, MA. Assists physicians in scheduled and urgent ophthalmic procedures, prepares and stocks procedure rooms, and conducts core assessments and measurements (history taking, visual acuity, refractometry, tonometry, pupil size/reactivity, and related tests). Supports surgical scheduling and paperwork, administers topical/oral medications, and assists with in-office procedures including sterile preparation and instrument handling. Certification strongly preferred with a required BLS credential and a minimum of two years of healthcare experience; requires high school diploma or GED. 40-hour, day-shift position (7:00 am–3:30 pm) with duties focused on patient care, quality, and efficiency in a hospital-affiliated ophthalmology setting.
