Job Summary
Assist in processing patients in the outpatient ophthalmic clinic under supervision, providing ophthalmic technical support and administrative services to support ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and residents. Prepare patients for diagnostic testing, record patient history and chief eye complaint, ensure smooth patient flow, perform color vision and glare/brightness testing as needed, enforce infection control policies, record and update eye medications and medical history in health records, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and COA certification; 0-1 year ophthalmic assistant experience preferred. Proficient with medical terminology, strong patient/customer service skills, and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat DC. Onsite position at 243-245 Charles Street with standard 40-hour weeks; pays $20.84–$29.79 per hour. EEO employer.
