Job Summary
Ophthalmic Assistant under physician guidance assists in comprehensive care of patients with ocular disorders, supports diagnostic evaluations, handles vision testing (visual acuity, monocular/binocular testing, color vision, stereo acuity), lensometry, pupil assessment, and administration of eye drops. Responsible for documenting medical history, recording in EMR, providing patient education on ocular care and post-op instructions, maintaining exam rooms and instruments, and assisting with workflow and disinfection/sterilization protocols. Requires High School Diploma/GED, Basic Life Support, and COA within 1 year of hire; pediatric healthcare experience preferred. Pay range $22.25-$36.38 hourly; full-time benefits described by the employer.
Required Qualifications
