Job Summary
Welcomes patients and visitors while gathering medical histories through intake assessments and noting findings in the EHR. Performs visual acuity, auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry, and keratometry tests, checks pupils and extra-ocular muscles, and inserts dilating eye drops. Runs diagnostic tests including Immersion A-scan, OCTs, and Visual Fields, and administers color vision, depth perception, and Schirmer's tear testing. Assists in minor office procedures such as lasers and excisions, educates patients on conditions and consent, and maintains exam rooms with cleaning and sterilization. Works Monday through Friday in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1-year of experience in Ophthalmology preferred
- COA, COT is a plus
- Detail oriented
- reliable
- able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible schedule working Monday-Friday
