Job Summary
Lead continuous improvement projects and oversee production assembly of engineered HVAC units to meet daily customer demand and schedule targets. Build equipment utilizing standard work processes while promoting LEAN guidelines and maintaining team build standards. Provide effective training to department employees, ensure safety and quality standards are always maintained, and document daily activities via takt trackers and station boards. Collaborate with purchasing, materials, engineering, quality, and safety teams to accomplish initiatives and offer status insights in meetings. Requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional cross-departmental work.
Required Qualifications
- Manufacturing leadership experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
- Flexibility to occasionally work in other company departments when needed
- Demonstrate positive and proactive behavior
- Demonstrate good leadership skills, including communicating effectively with others
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred
