Job Summary
Operate a water truck to support forestry field operations across project sites, including dust control, road maintenance, and water distribution. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitor water levels, and coordinate watering schedules with field crews. Follow DOT regulations and safety standards, maintain logs of daily operations, inspections, and maintenance, and assist in hauling and other project tasks as needed. Requires outdoor work in forestry environments, travel between job sites in California, and a valid CDL with endorsements. May involve long hours, weekends, and flexible schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven ability to safely operate heavy equipment in forestry, construction, or similar environments
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended hours and weekends based on project demands
