Operator - Wastewater Treatment

Operator - Wastewater Treatment position responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing wastewater treatment facilities and systems under the general supervision of the Chief Plant Operator Wastewater. Maintain mechanical systems, operate to achieve optimal treatment under varying loads, understand unit processes and monitoring practices, stay current with operating and maintenance practices and obtain/maintain TCEQ wastewater certifications. Read technical journals related to wastewater treatment and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, reporting and safety procedures. Maintain records, manage operating expenditures, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with others while maintaining regular attendance. May be required to respond to plant during emergency conditions and during call outs by supervisor; participates in committees as assigned and performs other duties as required.
