Job Summary
The Operator will carry out processes including loading/unloading product, storing product, and maintaining equipment and grounds. The role involves flexible shift work that may include evenings and weekends. Responsibilities encompass performing equipment maintenance, adhering to safety protocols, assisting with training, and potentially engaging in emergency response for hazardous materials. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of college or related experience, along with basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent plus equivalent of 2 years college, Military/technical training, or related work experience
- Ability to understand and follow operating procedures
- Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Refrigeration knowledge commensurate with position level
- Good communication skills
- HAZMAT certified (post-employment requirement)
- Basic computer skills and capability of data entry and information retrieval
Additional Requirements
- Incumbents are 'on-call' (24 hours per day) for pre-designated time periods and must be located within reasonable proximity of facility (approx. 30 min-45 min driving time).
