Job Summary

Operate basic support equipment like skid steers and loaders as directed while assisting experienced operators with setup, fueling, and site preparation. Monitor gauges, signals, and surrounding activity to ensure safe operation, and perform pre- and post-shift inspections, cleaning, and minor maintenance. Maintain a clean work site, follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements, and communicate clearly with team members to report hazards or mechanical issues immediately. This entry-level developmental position requires extensive travel to active mining and construction job sites nationwide, including overnight assignments and a typical 14 days on/7 days off rotational schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old by date of hire
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0–1 year of experience in equipment operation or mechanical work
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel extensively and work rotational schedules, including extended shifts and overnight assignments
  • Current MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 training; must be able to successfully complete and maintain all required MSHA training and site-specific safety training upon hire
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and supervisor instructions
  • Must pass background screening
  • Must pass drug and alcohol testing
  • Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
