Job Summary
Operator Technician at Trans Mountain in Edmonton, responsible for local operation and maintenance of facility equipment, overseeing contractors, analyzing SCADA/LOI/P&ID data, performing tank gauging and sample collection, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, preparing work orders, and maintaining safety-critical documentation; requires a High School Diploma (Power Eng cert and Engineering Tech diploma preferred), 3-5 years oil & gas experience, and a valid driver’s license; relocation may be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in Power Engineering certification and a Diploma in Engineering Technology preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years in oil & gas or related industrial sectors
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and outdoor work in varying conditions
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift including days/nights/weekends
