Job Summary
Operator Technicians work a rotating shift schedule, managing daily operations such as troubleshooting, monitoring process equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. Responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, conducting equipment rounds, executing daily readings, and managing chemical transfers while maintaining production quality. Successful candidates should possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and safe operation practices, as well as the ability to lead during abnormal situations and participate in training. Minor maintenance tasks and supporting investigations are also expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of operator, maintenance craft or environmental tech experience in a petrochemical manufacturing facility.
- An Associate Degree in Process Technology or Process Technology Certification
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Institution
- Military Experience
