Job Summary
Operate and maintain multiple production machines, including robotic equipment, while adhering to strict safety policies, BRC Food Safety, and OSHA regulations. Monitor continuous production to prevent stoppages, inspect manufactured products for defects, and adjust equipment to minimize waste. Document daily maintenance tasks, complete quality reports, and input data into the quality database. Maintain a clean working environment through 5S activities and participate in the plant Safety Program by reporting incidents. Collaborate with team members to recommend process improvements and support continuous improvement efforts to reduce operation costs. Provide break relief as needed. This role requires working 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a loud environment with exposure to fumes and hazardous chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- 2+ years experience in high volume manufacturing preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Possess excellent teamwork abilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Basic computer & math skills needed to be able to read and interpret drawings, review specifications, review work instructions and report line performance
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work all shifts including 8 or 12-hour shifts, daylight, and off-shifts as well as weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Ability to adapt to changing initiatives
- Working knowledge of measuring devices
- High School / GED
