Job Summary
Monitor production, loading, and shipping operations for ammonia, ANF, nitric acid, urea, and the port facility. Operate valves, instruments, and specialized equipment to adjust liquid levels, flows, temperatures, and pressures while maintaining environmental controls. Collect process data, record daily sheets, and request work orders to maintain equipment. Safely load and unload trucks and rail cars, clean railcars, and operate switch engines. Coordinate shipping and loading with other plant and port areas. Work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, with overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduation/GED
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in chemical operations, oil/gas industry, railroad, construction or industrial setting
- Effective organizational, time management and communication skills
- Strong math skills, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office IT environment including use of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Is physically capable
- Available and willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts
- Understands overtime is required in this position
- Agrees to work their fair share of overtime, which will include weekends and holidays
- Works in a safe manner promoting the health and well-being of the individual, his team and the environment
