Job Summary
Unload tools, hoses, fittings, and pumps from the job trailer and assist in job set-up, tear down, and day-to-day operations. Operate fire hoses to wash down sludge, perform site cleaning, light maintenance, and interior tank cleaning while adhering to all applicable regulations. Monitor confined space oxygen levels, communicate major problems to the supervisor, and prepare equipment checks at the start of every shift. Perform sweeping, shoveling, and fire hosing activities to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the work site. Travel between job sites and plants, including overnight travel, and complete required training programs. Work outside in any weather with varying shifts, overtime, and weekend duties.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
- Communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to work varying shifts, overtime hours and/or weekend duties
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to receive, comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following: First aid and CPR, Hazcom, Hearing conservation, Confined space entry and rescue, Lock out/Tag out
