Job Summary
Monitor system parameters including pressure, temperature, and relative humidity on charts or monitors. Turn valves and adjust controls to ensure safe equipment operation. Observe sterilizers and auxiliary units for malfunctions, documenting process readings and reporting system problems to supervisors. Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks, store chemicals per established procedures, and assist with repairs as needed. Report damaged product to the Shift Supervisor. Participate in plant safety committees and follow all safety rules. Lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions. Work established shifts with forklift driving experience required. Fluency in English and basic math skills in all units of measure are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Must be willing to work established shifts
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time
- Must have forklift driving experience
- Must be medically approved for respirator use
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity (120F and 60% RH for 20 minutes)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience working in a sterilization environment
- Computer skills
- Experience with a company using EO sterilization of products
