Job Summary
Assemble prototype PCBs for R&D development and limited quantity PCBs for Production assembly requirements. Assemble products as per instructions detailed in relevant T.P’s. Ensure all products are produced to quality standards and meet production/repair timelines. Perform equipment-related maintenance, diagnose issues on-site, and read complex schematics and wiring diagrams to determine required tests. Set up subassemblies, evaluate performance, and analyze test data. Support continuous improvement and 5S across the workspace. Ensure compliance with Cubic's quality, safety, and security policies. Successful Police Check and potential travel to NZ suppliers or overseas sites may be required.
Required Qualifications
- NCEA or similar qualification in electronics engineering, computer science, information systems, or other relevant technical discipline
- Minimum of 3-4 years assembly experience to ensure that allocated production assembly times are met or improved upon
- Ability to follow T.P’s (Text procedures) and engineering drawings
- Ability to solder to IPC-A-610 RevD, class 2
- Ability to carry out wiring to IPC WHMA A 620 RevA, class 2
- Relevant hand skills to carry out light mechanical assembly work
- Minimum computer skills sufficient to carry out product testing using ATE (Automated Test Equipment)
