Operator, Process 1 at SaskPower Aspen Power Station. Responsible for directing and participating in the efficient operation of plant turbines, generators, boilers, emission control systems and associated auxiliaries to meet generating requirements; monitor and troubleshoot equipment, interpret parameters, and communicate status to the control centre. Requires Second Class Power Engineer’s Certificate with valid Second-Class License (or equivalent) and a Class 5 driver’s license; shift work (24/7) with safety and environmental standards adherence. Opportunities for continuous education and licence upgrades within IBEW Local 2067. Wage notes include a temporary market adjustment; anticipated start date Sept 1, 2026. Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Demonstrates ability to operate, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain logs, and provide technical support to internal/external groups, while coordinating with shift personnel and adhering to permitting and safety requirements.
