Operator - Night Shift

Job Summary
Operate and maintain production machinery on the night shift to support weekend operations with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. Serve as a back-up for the senior operator; train Production Assistants and new Operators; set up, operate, and maintain slitters, roll formers, unwind stations, and related equipment. Use forklifts and other material-handling equipment; conduct in-progress and post-job inspections; calibrate machines before and after production; troubleshoot faults to minimize downtime. Ensure adherence to client specifications and production standards; complete production paperwork accurately and on time; load/unload delivery trucks and raw materials; perform minor maintenance and assist with preventive maintenance. Maintain a clean, safe work environment; collaborate with team to support continuous operations. Requires high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of machine-operator experience, in-house certification in slitter/forklift/needlepunch, ability to read manuals, strong multitasking/time management, reliability, and ability to lift 50–75 lbs. 2nd shift: 7 PM–7 AM; reports to Night Shift Production Team Leader; no supervisory responsibilities; physical environment is climate-controlled with regular manufacturing exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Machine Operator
- Successful completion in-house slitter, forklift, and needlepunch operator certification
- Ability to read and understand production and safety manuals
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven reliability and commitment to team success
- Must be able to regularly lift 50–75 lbs
