Job Summary
Monitor and operate the #3 ball mill, classifiers, dust collectors, storage bins, and air compressors, including climbing ladders up to 60 feet to inspect pinion shafts, bearings, and feed screws. Record operator initials, motor amps, downtime, product grade, and bag counts on the mill operator's log while performing screen and particle size analysis tests to ensure product specifications. Operate the transporter system, off-load bulk trucks, and manage bin levels by adjusting the transfer system. Perform test weights, fill and label bulk bags, and inspect, fuel, and operate forklifts. Load grinding media into the mill feed system.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Prior exposure to and understanding of operational equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience contributing within a team of professionals to deliver against set targets
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience in identifying and managing risks
