Job Summary
Set up and operate machinery on trial runs to verify settings and meet production goals. Calculate controls, edit programs, and confirm accuracy of first setups using test pieces and blueprints. Observe operations to detect malfunctions, adjust controls, and troubleshoot problems to maintain quality with minimal equipment attrition. Measure, count, and coordinate materials while using the SAP system to track production data. Clean scale or scrap from dies and grind burrs to ensure part quality. Work the second shift in a loud manufacturing environment requiring the ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for the full duration.
Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions
- Computer and keyboarding
- Ability to read part drawings
- Growth mindset and eagerness to learn
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and work safely around moving equipment
- Must be available for Second Shift (Afternoons)
- Must be able to stand for full shift
- Must be able to bend, reach, and handle bulky parts
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to work in Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
- Must be able to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.
