OPERATOR/LEAK DETECTION

Job Summary
Conduct job safety, accurate operation, and maintenance of valves and fire hydrants by following written procedures for assessment, testing, and upkeep. Assist the Crew Chief in field operations while supporting tool/equipment assembly, disassembly, and site cleaning to eliminate tripping hazards. Actively participate in safety planning meetings to review risks based on documentation and onsite observations, and perform simple data collection. Maintain continuous improvement by promoting quality, efficacy, and safety standards. Requires ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Experience in leak/water detection is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand on feet for a prolonged amount of time
- May need to bend, lift, carry, and stretch to perform duties
- Continually required to use hands and fingers and reach with arms
- Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs
- Work requires ability to work outdoors in various weather, traffic and environmental conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in leak/water detection is a plus
