Job Summary
Operators make required rounds to ensure proper equipment operation and to perform required visual and olfactory inspections; ensure unit is operating at target rates and production is on-spec; monitor equipment and process parameters; handle maintenance items in assigned areas; identify problem areas and communicate with supervision/engineering; complete safety orientations and follow safety/environmental policies; draw and sample materials; complete rotating equipment checklists; lubricate, tighten, and address leaks; collaborate to identify process improvement areas and communicate up the chain; support energy optimization and participate in shift hand-offs, audits, and safety initiatives; must meet physical requirements including ability to wear a respirator and lift up to 50 pounds; able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays; proficient with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office; associate degree in Process Technology plus 2 years experience or high school plus 5+ years experience in petrochemical/refinery; location: Clear Lake, TX; multiple responsibilities spanning safety, quality, environmental, and production objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Process Technology plus 2 years of experience in a Petrochemical or Refinery setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a Petrochemical or refinery setting can be substituted in lieu of a degree
