Job Summary
Conduct Tier 1 start-of-shift meetings to communicate safety, quality topics, and production targets. Distribute process orders to operators and material handlers, assigning daily targets while tracking performance throughout the shift. Lead and supervise employees during assigned shifts to meet production schedules, ensuring compliance with Safety, GMP, Quality, and sanitation procedures. Raise non-conformances for raw material or process issues, maintain departmental quality practices, and perform post-cleaning swabs to verify sanitation effectiveness. Reconcile label counts, audit shop floor documentation, and accurately enter process orders into SAP. Manage employee break schedules, coordinate with Maintenance for required activities, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to communicate performance gaps. Complete packing and shift reports, ensuring area readiness for smooth handover. Work weekends as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as part of a team
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Availability to work weekends as needed to fulfill customer orders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without difficulty
- Ability to weigh ingredients accurately using floor scales and bench scales
- Quick learner with the ability to identify and recommend process improvements
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator and/or PAPR when required for handling specific materials
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer literate with the ability to navigate multiple systems, windows, and transactions
Desired Qualifications
- SAP knowledge and experience
- Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience
