Operator-In-training

Maintain equipment and service work in the plant while operating treatment facilities to control wastewater, sludge, and effluent flow. Operate valves, gates, pumps, engines, and generators to adjust processes, and monitor gauges, meters, and control panels. Observe and report abnormalities to the supervisor, maintain shift logs, and collect samples for routine laboratory tests. Perform routine maintenance, custodial duties, and other required tasks while following oral and written directions and maintaining cooperative relationships with contacts.
