Job Summary
Mix different product types and ingredients into production equipment based on work orders, specifications, and recipes. Set up, operate, and tend blending, mixing, and cooking machinery while monitoring gauges and thermometers to ensure temperatures remain within specified ranges. Troubleshoot common machine faults, perform minor repairs, and sanitize equipment for product changeovers. Record production and test data for each batch, complete required forms, and report uncommon issues to maintenance. Direct, coach, and train production associates, verify product conformance to quality standards, and use a pallet jack to move finished goods. Adhere strictly to safety and SQF 2000 systems while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Report to the production lead regularly to update on progress. Requires 6 months of manufacturing experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexible scheduling for shifts, holidays, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Must know and understand all types of nuts and allergens processed through the machine
- Must know how to evaluate the product for roast and/or damage
- Must be able to lift, push pull and carry objects of moderate weight up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work OT/Holidays/Weekends with the ability to go to any shift depending on the production demands
- Must have basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages
- Must be able to make conversions from Metric to English standards for weights
- Must have at least 6 months of manufacture operations experience
- Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be able to effectively communicate with peers and associates
- Must be able to communicate with others both verbally and in writing
- Must be independently mobile
- Ability to lift/carry 25 to 50 lbs
- Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection
