Job Summary
Bindery Operator setups, adjusts, and safely runs bindery equipment including MBO folders with pile/continuous feeders, Heidelberg/Stahl folders with feeders, and Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers to produce finished products that meet customer specs and quality standards. Responsible for planning work processes based on job tickets, ensuring machines are prepared and set to run, performing quality control, and providing status updates to the supervisor. Duties include maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, unloading and stacking materials, maintaining safety and housekeeping, and completing required paperwork. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years with the listed equipment, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- 3+ years experience with MBO folders with pile and continuous feeders
- 3+ years experience with Heidelberg/Stahl folders with continuous feeders
- 3+ years experience with 6 pocket Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers (preferred)
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets
- Safety-minded and able to wear PPE
