Job Summary

Safely start, stop, operate, and monitor engine-generator packages and auxiliary equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and plant procedures. Monitor plant equipment through control systems and field inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation, adjusting parameters to optimize performance and efficiency. Conduct routine equipment inspections, document operating conditions, and identify malfunctions to report to the Shift Supervisor. Assist with plant startups, shutdowns, commissioning activities, and planned maintenance outages while coordinating with Maintenance and I&E personnel for system isolation. Complete operating logs, shift reports, and inspections accurately, and respond appropriately to plant alarms and emergency situations. Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures, and maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the facility.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at elevated heights
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and respond to emergency callouts as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in industrial operations, manufacturing, utilities, oil and gas, or power generation
  • Technical training or coursework in power generation, industrial operations, mechanical systems, or a related field
